The British Acoustics Alpha Sub 428 S WR is a twin 18" passive subwoofer delivering 1200W AES and 4800W peak power through dual long-excursion drivers with 4" copper voice coils. Offering omni-directional coverage and cardioid presets, it suits live events and demanding installations. Built with a durable birch plywood enclosure coated in scratch-resistant polyurea, it features perforated stainless steel grills and acoustically transparent foam for protection. Rated IP54, it resists dust and water. Additional features include sloped input plates, M10 flying inserts, and accessories like castor wheels and pole mounts, making it versatile and reliable for professional audio systems.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
