The British Acoustics Onyx 238 TW is an 8" all-weather surface mount speaker built for indoor and outdoor use in public, hospitality, and corporate spaces. Featuring an axial mid-high driver and 1" silk dome HF compression driver, it delivers clear highs and defined mids with 121 dB peak SPL. Selectable 100V/70V transformer taps and 8Ω impedance ensure flexible system integration. Housed in impact-resistant ABS with IP54 weather protection and a matte white finish, it suits architectural environments. Easy to install via Euroblock terminals and VS Throne or Yoke VS 6 brackets, it offers reliable, wide-area audio coverage with minimal distortion.

Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
