The British Acoustics Onyx 234 TW is a compact 4.5” full-range surface mount speaker designed for architectural installations needing clarity, coverage, and weather resistance. Featuring an axial-motor LF transducer and 0.75” silk dome HF tweeter, it delivers clear voice and warm tones from 85 Hz to 20 kHz with a 110 dB peak SPL, ideal for paging, background, and light foreground music. Equipped with Euroblock terminals, a rotary transformer selector, and impedance toggle for 8Ω/100V/70V systems, it integrates easily into various setups. Its IP54-rated impact-resistant ABS enclosure with a matte white finish offers durability for moist or busy areas. Flared LF ports and slim design with VS Throne or Yoke 6 mounts allow fast installation in corridors, hospitality, worship, and retail environments.

Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
