The British Acoustics Onyx 208 CTW is an expandable column speaker suitable for indoor and outdoor use, featuring an IP64 rating for full protection against dust, water, and corrosion. It delivers 120W continuous (480W peak) power at 8Ω, covering 90 Hz to 18 kHz with a maximum SPL of 108 dB (114 dB peak) and a 120° horizontal by 15° vertical dispersion. The speaker supports 100V/70V transformer taps up to 50W for broad system compatibility. Constructed with a die-cast aluminum shell coated in matte black and perforated stainless steel grills, it is enhanced with Onyx Terra-Coating for extra environmental resistance. Its ridged body and hidden screw terminals offer easy handling and a clean appearance. Built-in wall brackets and optional V8 column extenders provide versatile mounting, delivering reliable, high-quality sound reinforcement across varied applications.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
