The British Acoustics ONYX 10A is a compact 10-inch powered studio and stage monitor developed
for professional sound reinforcement applications. It combines a 10-inch low-frequency driver rated at 250 W AES / 1000 W peak with a 1-inch exit HF compression driver rated at 30 W AES / 120 W peak. A 1000 W two-channel Class-AB amplifier, M1 Power Factor Crossover Module and PW Processor provide efficient amplification, system protection and precise voicing. The ONYX 10A delivers a frequency response of 64 Hz–20 kHz, a frequency range of 49 Hz–20 kHz, maximum output of 119 dB/ 125 dB peak, and controlled 90° horizontal × 50° vertical dispersion.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
