The PW612 from British Acoustics' 6 Series is a passive single 12" multipurpose speaker with a frequency response of 64 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB) and a maximum SPL of 128 dB. It handles 400W continuous power (1600W peak) and operates at 8 ohms impedance with a sensitivity of 96 dB. The speaker features a 12" LF driver with a 3" voice coil and a 1.5" exit compression HF driver with a 3" voice coil, crossed over at 1.9 kHz. It has a coverage pattern of 90° x 90°. The PW612 is housed in a birch plywood enclosure with a powder-coated grill and includes integrated handles, M-10 insertion points, and a pole mounting socket for versatile mounting options.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
