The PW618 from British Acoustics' 6 Series is a passive subwoofer featuring an 18" low excursion driver with a 4" voice coil. It offers a frequency response of 37 Hz to 230 Hz (-3 dB) and a frequency range of 32 Hz to 230 Hz (-10 dB), with a maximum SPL of 133 dB and a sensitivity of 98 dB. The subwoofer handles 800W continuous power (3200W peak) and operates at 8 ohms impedance. It provides omni-directional coverage and is housed in a birch plywood enclosure with a powder-coated grill. The unit includes a pole mount socket, integrated handles, and M-10 insertion points for versatile mounting options.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Painstakingly Perfect Production
Over the years, craftsmanship has been closely linked with small scale individualistic production. Back in 1972, we started the same way. As we grew in scale & size, it was difficult to build each speaker individually, but quality control was of utmost importance as so switching to a general assembly line was simply not an option. So we wrote up a code, one quite like enigma, to ensure quality control. We selected the right partners, got the right tools, and in cases where those weren't available, we invented them. We grew slower than most as our aim was to last longer than most.
